Victoria Cross Series: ?Retired (1 Viewer)

that's an idea!!! 4 different poses maybe a couple firing, & a couple reloading? They could make a few good sets like that!!!

Craig,

None of the 93rd Highlanders were awarded the VC for the "Thin Red Line" action at Balaclava in 1854.

This can explain why William Britain did not go beyond issuing only the rifleman and piper as Collector Club single figures.

However, on 16 November 1857 at the 2nd Relief of Lucknow, there were 6 winners of the VC from the 93rd Highlanders.

William Britain made 5 of the 6 winners of the VC for the Secundra Badh action.

Note: The largest number of VCs ever awarded on a single day was 24 on the 16th November 1857 at the 2nd Relief of Lucknow during the Indian Mutiny.

Happy Collecting, Raymond.

To all interested Victoria Cross Series collectors,

There are 3 Value Vignettes listed for purchase by the Treefrog Treasures Shop.

Two are for the Crimean War and One for the Indian Mutiny.

Best, Raymond.

If I recall correctly, there was a vignette of the Indian Mutiny featuring the 93rd Highlanders at Secundra Badh.

It must have sold out and expectedly so.

You must have read Richard's post about the Victoria Cross Series.

The Redcoat Series is the one to watch now.
