I intended to start this thread on the actual day but I regret to say I forgot. They say that the Korean War is the forgotten war but my feeling is that the Vietnam War is a conflict (as they called it) that many try to forget. It was the first war that was open slather to the media where war was seen as the dirty business it is rather than the glorified clashes that we sometimes pretend it to be as model/toy soldier collectors.
Vietnam Veterans were never really given the appreciation they deserved at the time, so here's to the Aussies and American servicemen that put their lives on the line in Vietnam: http://www.culture.gov.au/articles/longtan/
