Hi All:

Had to search a little bit to find the best place to post this. I broke out an old box of late 70s/early 80s Britains Deetail knights today and tried some photography. Thought I'd share them here:

Those are great, I remember playing with all the different ranges. I only have a Custer figure and a trooper now. I remember my WWII soldiers lobbing mortar shells on my knights.

I had a collection of these knights when I was a kid. All sadly gone now.

Thanks for sharing yours with us.

hi - you should send these photos to Britains - best pictures that I have seen promoting their Deetail figures.

you should do some more for the WW2 and ACW / Wild West poses.

Thanks Brian. I use to set them up with domino castles. Had a lot of fun wrecking the walls.

Completely understand. I wish I had more of my old toys. I saved these in a shoe box.

Thanks Dave. One of my local hobby shops had some Civil War soldiers last summer. I made an offer to buy them all for a discounted price. Here's a few shots:

as well as some Cowboys and Indians:

They had a few WWII figures that led me to order more:

And lastly, a set with the new plastic bases:

I'm partial to the WWII figures and really like the 1/32 scale, but now that I've got into King & Country, I haven't done much with Britains Deetail. They are a lot of fun and offer a lot of playability and nostalgia.

Hi

these are really good photos. I always believe that we enthusiasts sell toy and model soldiers as we understand the hobby best!

I used to have loads of Deetail as a kid, my favourites being ACW. I always wanted them to produce Deetail Zouaves.

Nice photos of the Britain's Detail figures. I still have all my Detail figures including a set of Mexican cowboys and Apaches. These are some of the first figures I collected along with Airfix. Thanks for posting. John
