Vintage Paramount Coach kit (1 Viewer)

This is a nice old kit - what a great find. I was lucky enough to visit the Royal Mews in London in October and see the collection of coaches. Anyone who has the chance and loves either horses, coaches or just beautiful craftsmanship should check it out. I hope that this goes together nicely for you, I have had trouble with plastic parts warping with things this old. It would be really neat to see the completed coach if you ever get done. Speaking of projects to do, I got inspired by the visit to the Mews to strip the paint off of a beat up Britain's mounted general and start to turn him into a figure of the Crown Equerry. So far nothing but a shiny old casting on the table, probably wondering what happened to his red coat.

Photos, man, photos! :D I hope you'll start a thread to show us your project, too.

Vic, I'm looking forward to following your build on this one.

Prost!

Interesting--from the photo, it looks like the coachman's body is cast in left and right halves, rather than solid-cast.

Hello Dettingen and Brad,

Sometimes finding these old vintage stuff on ebay gives me a kick. I have more but as its the Xmas season, I can't find the time to take out the goodies or to model.

I have to go into modelling cold turkey and start roasting turkey (I know, terrible pun...:)).

My word Vic! How long does it take you to roast a Turkey?? Maybe try doing him - one leg at a time - a bit like modelling????:D:salute::

Have a good one - jb

Hello JB,

More like painting. One has to brush on the basting oil and make sure it looks nice and glossy.

Merry Xmas to all you lot! I'm sure we'll all see lots of post Xmas threads on what we got for Xmas.

I'm pretty sure that some of the photos of food that you see in cookery books - have been staged using all sorts of props. Never thought of varnishing a turkey - to get a nice shiny finish though!{eek3}

If you do it that way - take care not to try to eat it afterwards.:D jb
