Vintage Toy Soldiers and Vehicles (1 Viewer)

During the anti-war time, GI Joe switched to making "Adventure" series, so I couldn't get war-theme anymore.

Here is the Secret Agent, along with his briefcase with sniper rifle and some added papers I drew as a kid to add play value.

Also some other random extra equipment.

That's all great stuff - thx for sharing. I had the Ski patrol set - also the deep sea diver with weighted boots.. I remember sending one of my joes for a "deep sea" dive and of course the first thing that happened was his helmet filled up with water. I had 2 GI Joes, Johnny West and Thunderbolt, Sgt. Stony and Daniel Boone. All of this was towards the end of my childhood toy years... I was 12 I think and still enjoying it all, but was starting to take a lot of heat from my parents about still playing with toys... It was about the time I got interested in Aurora HO slot cars - so the transition wasn't too bad... Seems slot cars were more acceptable back then (and probably now for that matter).

Anyway, thx again. I'll try to shoot a photo or two of the one GI Joe I have (i don't think he even has a complete set of gear and my the wooden footlocker.

Jim: Here are some Johnny West characters my children had when they were kids. Thought I would take some pics when I found them in a box. Johnny West, Josie West, Capt. Maddox, Custer and others. He also has many accessory parts. The older GI Joes were stolen in a burglary years ago. Leadmen

Oh man, I had a bunch of Johnny West stuff as a kid! I even had some knights (one black and 1 silver with matching armored horses) I think were made by the same people. They were among my favorite toys (I have a picture of myself on my 5th birthday in a cowboy suit holding my brand new silver knight). Thanks for the memories!
