Fans of the classic War film 'Battle of Britain' may recognise these Huts and hangars as they were of course the backdrop for the film.

This is the excellent memorial to all the men of the USAAF who gave their lives flying from Britain in WW2.It really is a very well designed memorial and when the sun shines hundreds of shadows of the little aircraft are projected on the floor, its very moving and hope my pics do it justice.

There are some great drawings entitled 'Somewhere in Britain' by the guys from the USAAF,I thought this one would make you smile, love the Bugs bunny emblazoned jacket too.

You enter a D Day exhibition through a mock up of a LCA,and are met by shellfire and machine gun noises, here we see a private reluctant to hit the beach;)

The Eagle eyed amongst you will quickly spot the mocked up Tiger, and recognise it from Saving Private Ryan.

Great shots Rob. Thanks for posting them. Quite a lot to see there. Really nice aircraft, armor, and guns. I like the early war Mk.4 in gray, the 2 Thunderbolts, and the T-34. Is the Tiger a mock-up? Doesn't look to be original. -- Al
