Visit to Imperial War museum Duxford Airfield (1 Viewer)

Great shots Rob. Thanks for posting them. Quite a lot to see there. Really nice aircraft, armor, and guns. I like the early war Mk.4 in gray, the 2 Thunderbolts, and the T-34. Is the Tiger a mock-up? Doesn't look to be original. -- Al

Thanks Al,yes a mock up for SPR Film.

Yes indeed Brad, its huge and can occupy you for hours on end.I took 311 pics!:eek:Its very popular with US visitors as you can imagine, and also fans of 'The Battle of Britain'.Wjen you stand outside the hangars you can really picture that scene in which Susannah York emerges after the Air raid to find the bodies of her friends and colleagues lined up in front of her, very stark scene.

Great set of pics Rob, cheers for taking the time to post. It's been years and years since I've been to Duxford (and Bovington, for that matter). Really must make the effort to head Souf for a day or two.

Awesome pics Rob!!!!!!! if I ever get across the pond I would love to check the meuseum out, have to say my favorite is the mighty 88 gun, as well as the tiger breaking through the wall, funny....my favorites are always the German stuff, don't know why?? great pics again...Sammy
