Vive la difference (1 Viewer)

All very well said Andy, especially... "Let's all have fun... appreciate the best of each other... and enjoy our own and other's collectioins". Thanks for posting.:)

I am still a WAG for K&C and Andy !

and I am still looking for my lipstick ;)

Thanks for your effort toward reconciliation Andy, hope others will follow. This really is a small hobby, we should respect the choices of others. There is no real way to make ourselves look better if it means tearing down anothers choices.

I don't think you can say much better about all this than "Vive la difference." It certainly sums up how I feel.

Hi Terry (Phantom Warrior), You wrote,
... that's his opinion. There are several successful startup companies, each appealing to a different segment of the market with some overlap. I wouldn't know how to judge or compare success or innovation or rank the companies or have any interest in doing so. I just take his comment for what it's worth - a personal opinion and not a slap at any of the other starup or resurgent companies.

I was impressed by both Andy's posts, not because of the content but because he's here. He's on the dance floor. He's dancing. He talks to us. It can be argued that he's doing it because it's good business. As far as I'm concerned, taking care of business is good. I wish all the other producers, large and small, well too. It's good for us all. I do know that with the net, with Treefrog, and with today's products, I'm enjoying my hobby a whole lot more. What was being served in the late 80s and early 90s was really frustrating. And, of course, this was with no forum to talk about it.
Strangely I don't collect matte figures. I'm an old guy and like glossy figures. Still I wish all the makers offering us these high quality toy soldiers the best.
Price, well there's a lot more to chat about there.:D

Cheers Russell

Andy,
well said and generous in your praise of others.
If there is disagreement than it is about something other than what you said.
best
Harvey

Dear Andy:

Splendid and well written comments about the "toy soldier" or "military minatures" hobby. Your many comments of this #1 posting of this tread you started shows that you are really interested and indeed love the hobby and your fellow collectors as well as your many customers.

Cheers! Gary M. / "Iron Brigade" of Wisconsin, USA
