I almost finished (need more indians) my second shelf in the Big Curio Cabinet in the front hallway. This diorama is where the Virginia Militia comes and the Wagon train comes under attack !

This scene also features my TREES that I made :D - a few of them really turned out cool with the different colors I was able to mix in during construction

Anyway - this shelf still needs more - but, you know ... can't buy them all at one time.

Enjoy !

That's a good looking set up Ron and your trees look really nice.

I can see why you're not a "tree counter", you have too many to count, lol.:D

Between the 7 WIM sets, that give you 21 Indians, that's quite a few, but I guess you can never have enough.

Somebody told me the Frontline Indians worked really well, you might consider that, just a thought.

Very cool, keep them coming, the trees really look good, Michael

Thanks Mike !

I am going to have to pick up the VM-04 - still dont have that one. I kinda go back and forth on Frontline Indians - still haven't made up my mind. I did get the French Color Set from Tim Tyler - I know its not historically correct to have it in there - but, the wife's friends like the the multi-color flag

Will look for our storage project today ! ;)

Ron

Excellent display Ron, I like how you have varied the colours on the trees also to add more realism. Good stuff.

CAPITOLNAPOLEONICSUPERKAJAFRAJALISTICEXPEDALODOSHIOUSRON,
Great stuff! And you can certainly take pride in doing it yourself instead of buying...DIY the backbone of the American way!
Mike

The trees look great Ron.If you can find any of the Conte Indians they fit well too.a little darker but hey, their a different tribe.
Mark

Very cool Ron. I have gone without trees to this point, but thinking about using some at the very back of my display to give it a sense of depth without obscuring any of the figures. One thing that concerns me with all these great dios is that the figures may become a bit lost.

I find that the trees actually give the figures more life in the display. The trees as a backdrop bring the view to a sense of being there for me. Also as you expand your display to have them throughout the scene you get the sense of the battle - IMHO.

Give it a try with a few and you will see what i mean - also consider the grass mats for your shelf - you will be surprised how much that one thing makes a big difference.

Ron

Here is an UPDATED series of pictures with the New VM-04 figures included. I picked up the VM-04 yesterday.......oh man, my American Express Bill will be a killer next month

But, at least I have all of the VM's and the BM Range is complete - for now !

Still LOVING MY TREES :D - Enjoy the pics:
