W. Britain In New England (1 Viewer)

Hi Lt.,

Thanks very much for the very nice photographs. Much appreciated.

There is nothing like examining figures up close and in person.

Unfortunately being so far away, I have to settle for good pictures and reports from kind forum members like your goodself.

Many Thanks, Raymond.:)

I had a great time yesterday at the History Store meeting Richard for the first time and other New England collectors. I enjoyed chatting with fellow forum member Travis (pdf119) (a firefighter from Maine) and his wife who is collecting Britain's Civil War range and will soon be making a trip to Gettysburg. Like the Lt. said, I was encouraging new members to check out the Treefrog Forum. I had a nice conversation with another WB Civil War collector from Maine, Rich and his wife Polly, and hope he and others I spoke with (all unaware of the forum) will soon be joining us. And, of course, it is always a pleasure to see Papa Zulu are resident expert on the AZW and official show documentary photographer.

It was great seeing the samples of forthcoming releases that Richard brought along from the Zulu, Sudan, Civil War and Napoleonic series. The Sudan figures live up to all my expectations and then some. I was also very much impressed with the Civil War personality figures and artillery sets and ACW collectors are in for a great year.

This was an historic day for New England collectors since it marked the first time that Richard Walker has visited Hobby Bunker and The History Store. All of us here in the Northeast thank him for this much anticipated visit.

I forgot to mention that the the AWI fifer and drummers (below) were top notch and I hope we will see marching figures to go along with the NY/NJ figures--a great future dio for a H&A scene.

Hey all! Had a great time at the History Store the other day! It was great to meet some of the other forum members, Polar Bear and The Lt! My wife even had a good time! Richard had some really cool stuff on display. The Zulu figures and tactical scenes were amazing! He also talked about stuff that is coming down the pipe line and other stuff that's planned. Great guy to talk to! Heading out for Gettysburg now! I'll report later in the week on my Toy Soldier finds!

Travis

I see in one of the photo's, although not clear, Durnford standing on a ox cart next to a collasped tent, a scene I intend to duplicate later this year when all these are released.
