W. Britain News Release (1 Viewer)

It's probably a forlorn hope but I'd love to see Britains produce some plastics. The stuff Ken did for Conte is fantastic.

Regardless, I wish the change all the best. I'm in on the Viking range and will also get some WW1 too. I can select the best of the figures and they're more affordable than other options.

At the end of the day Ken's releases with every range over the past few years have been amazing so just keep up the great work mate!

I know that us Napoleonic and British paratrooper buffs will not be disappointed!

Dear Ken and all at W Britain.

I know in your press release that you mention that further information will of W Britain's new business vehicle will be forthcoming, but in the meantime could you let use know what will be happening with the club and distribution here in the UK? Is Bachmann Europe going to continue to distribute on your behalf?

Very exited for your future.

Kindest regards

Smendy

I'm hoping they do something like that with the Bushy Run sets.

Congratulations !

As this picture of my oldest Britains to my newest shows, been a fan before I knew it...Set 1307 was mine, but "not to be played with", so it sat on display in our living room...fortunately or unfortunately, the "Battle of Agincourt" knights were played with.

Best wishes for success.

I asked the same question and this is the response I got from the Collectors Club here in the UK earlier today.

Dear.......

W.Britain has been purchased by A small group of investors including the current Creative Director Ken Osen, As you will be aware Ken is very passionate about the brand and has many exciting plans for development throughout our many ranges. The agreement with Bachmann Europe and the continued distribution agreement will continue in exactly the same way as before there will be no change to the UK distribution or with the Collectors Club.

I hope that this will clear any confusion, Please let me know if there is anything else that I can help with,

Hope this will be of use.

Hi All,
As you might guess Ericka and I have been pretty busy moving everything for work and home from Iowa to Ohio. I will post some pictures next week of our new facility. The warehouse is looking a bit like a set from Raiders of the Lost Ark at the moment.

For our friends in the UK...Yes Bachmann Europe is stiller valued trading partner and Katie Hines continues to be the Brand Manager. We will work closely with them in the future to keep all collectors informed of new developments.

We are still setting up systems here in Ohio but should have everything up and running no later than March 7th. Ted Deddens of Tedtoy toy soldiers joined our staff as Operations Manager and will be working here in Ohio very soon too.
Remember that Troiani Historical Art Prints and Hudson & Allen Studio are also part of The Good Soldier, the company that now owns William Britain. These three companies are a great fit and I think you will agree as we move forward. The Spring Stock catalog will be going to the printers very soon with The Standard following right after.

More to follow soon,
Ken

Thanks for the update Ken. It's well known that moving home is a very stressful experience so moving the company at the same time must be doubly so !
All the best for the move hope it all goes as smoothly as possible.
I look forward to seeing the new products and adding to the ranges I collect.
Regards
Steve

Hi All,
To be honest, as stressful as it is to be moving everything in my professional and private life at once, it is great to be back in the Old Northwest.

We drive by Historic Fort Meigs every day to work now. It is the largest reconstructed stockade fort in North America and the site of two War of 1812 battles. Just a short distance is the site of the 1794 Fallen Timbers Battle and the British Fort Miami. A little over a half hour north is the River Raision battlefield of 1813 and just across the border is Fort Malden at Amherstburg.

There is no shortage of inspiration around here and I hope it shows in the near future!

All the best,
Ken & Ericka Osen

Just a few mins drive from my home town of Windsor :)

Well,
Ted, Ericka and I plan to set up a showroom in the front offices this summer so folks can stop by when they are in the area. I have several shadow boxes like the one we showed with the barn and 88mm gun in Chicago under construction for various ranges. I cannot wait to get back to the bench to make new models and dioramas and I am already set up on temporary tables. Alan, Graham and the rest of the crew are busy working on new figures too so we will be in good shape.

When we get a little closer I will post some pictures of the new place. Ted will be attending the Westcoaster and the Texas show while Ericka and I work here to catch up a bit more.

Ken

Ken; are you planning any Armor pieces in the next year? I posted some photos of a WB Fallschimjager with a variety of 1/30 Armor from Figarti, NMA, and TG and the compatabity is good. I am sure you could do better!
