A lot of Waffen SS camouflaged uniforms used by this elite unit of the Germany Army. Splinter Pattern(Splittermuster), Swamp Pattern(Sumpftarnmuster), Plane Tree Pattern(Platanenmuster) and Leibermuster. Your insight please on what type of camouflage uniform used by the 9th Hohenstaufen and 10thFrundsbergDivision at Arnhem? Thank:)

Hohenstaufen and Frundsberg had no regimented camo pattern troops mixed and matched from a variety of camo patterns from both smocks and trousers to standard grey tunics with camo trousers and camo smocks and grey trousers.

I have some decent pictorial books on these two divisions and some good photographs from veterans which show a variety of camo patterns so, pea dot, autumn etc etc would be fine if your asking to mix troops in varying camo patterns. It happened all the time

Should we ask to move this thread to the section on uniformology, for more visibility?

Prost!

hi mitch, i can back all that up. I went to arnhem for my honey moon back in sept of 1995. We really took our time going thru things. What a variety of uniforms and units there were. Good time

Mitch,

Thanks for the input..well said and clear enough that they just throw in anything and mix it all up. Seen a lot of pictures about Arnhem or Operation Market Garden but most are 1st Airborne Division. If you can share some pictures of that book. I appreciate it. :smile2:
