Wanted: Info on Britians Scots Guards 1899 (1 Viewer)

Between 1999-2001, Britains issued several sets depicting Queen Victoria and the Scots Guards 1899. It is my understanding that originally these sets were available only to members of the Britains' collector's club, although they do show up on Ebay allot . Does anyone know if there is any publication where I can find information on what sets were in the presentation, the set numbers, composition of each set, perhaps photos, etc., etc. Thanks.

I posted some pictures of my sets somewhere on the forum. I cannot remember where. It was a very good range.
All the info is in the Standard fro, 1998-2002.
I never completed the collection.

Thank you very much for the list. I tried to find photos but can't seem to locate them. Any idea where I can find photos --especially of the band sets -- which are merely labelled sets 1 -7, and also of sets 215 and 40206? Thanks again. I appreciate all your work.

Hi Damian,

You have some very very interesting sets in the parade formations. Please run through the makers etc when you have a chance I think there are a few I would like more detail on and also to see if I can find them for my own collection. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Those sets are made by a man called Iain Stewart. He has a company called The Colonial Factor. He makes African regiments. He lives in Howick just outside Pietermaritzburg. He is notorioulsy irrascible. He has an encyclopaedic knowledge of Southern African regiments. The sets include Kings African Rifles. Rhodesian Light Infantry and South African Army Band. If you look on Wm Hocker resource page you can find a link to his sight. He is a purist as he refuses to make the old favouirtes. We are always asking him for Black Watch and Coldstream Gaurd figures but he will not budge.

Here is Queen Victoria's Barouche. There were major quality control issues with it initially and it had to be recalled. This was when ERTL was in charge.

Hi Damian,

Those look great. I really am a bit jealous of the Scots Guards Sets I wish they would do a similar one for the Irish Guards too. Maybe someday.

I will also be checking out the other guy you mentioned for a look at his African Sets I really enjoy those types of sets a great deal!
