These images show a couple of new Black Watch for the existing Mahdist Revolution range and some figures that have been designed for the new Tel-el-Kebir 1882 range (part of the WAN series) and according to the blurb on FB will be in the Winter Catalogue! ^&cool

Roll on April! :salute::

it looks great to me.i hope there wil come some new egyptian figures too.the egyptians on the picture are the same as on the nile gunboat, except one figure.

The two Blackwatch figures loading and shooting look to me to be the same as the Red coat ones.
So I imagine that both the mahdist ones and the red coat would be interchangeable too with a touch of paint. May be an idea for those who are wanting those wanting the Red coats to get the older line whilst many are available at bargain clearance prices and give them a lick of Red paint.
Bit dearer doing it the other way round of course !

Now I know what General Gordon felt like every morning scanning the horizon from The balcony of the Governor Generals residents, when will they get here, when will they get here.

Will there be a redoubt for sale with this series?

Yes there will be a redoubt to go with this release.

The winter catalog was finished today and sent on to the UK. The Winter Standard will follow very soon. The US edition will be released as soon as Ted and I return from the UK. I hope to see many of you at the W. Britain London evening event, or the Saturday Toy Soldier show in Islington.
All the best,
Ken

Hi Ken,

That is great news....I will really look forward to seeing the redoubt....Any chance for us from overseas to get a glimpse of this redoubt ...given that we will not be present at the London event?
Cheers

Ericka will be uploading images on the W. Britain website while Ted and I are in the U.K. The Winter Standard and the last catalog of the year will be mailed before Christmas. There are pictures and dimensions in the catalog and these same images will appear on-line.

Ken, sorry if this is off target but years ago you made that great display base for Civil War. Any chance we'll see something like that again.

Thanks.

The Black Watch Highlanders in the scarlet tunics can also be used against the Dervishes if you want to display the Battle of Kirbekan Feb 10th 1885. The Black Watch were with the River Column under General Earle. They departed after the Desert Column (Camel Corps) and made their way along the Nile in whale boats. So these figures can serve a dual purpose against the dervishes as well as the Egyptian soldiers. They wore the grey tunics during the battles of El Teb and Tamai during the campaign in the eastern Sudan, but chose to wear the scarlet during the Battle of Kirbekan.
As you can see I am very excited for the continuation of the War Along the Nile series!
