Hi all now the W Britain web site has been updated with the first of this years new releases and release dates, I notice that 27053 - BRITISH NAVAL BRIGADE KNEELING FIRING NO.1, and 27056 - BRITISH NAVAL BRIGADE STANDING FIRING NO.2, are both describe as coming as a 1 Piece Set in Clamshell Pack, I hope that is a printing error and they are coming in window boxes as the rest of the single figures in this range as I prefer this style of packing to the clamshell type they are more presentable easier to store etc, has anyone else noticed this.

Please, Please, Please don't change it to this style of packaging.

I prefer the window boxes as well but either way these are great new releases and most welcome to which has become my favourite range from WB.

Personally don't see any issue with the clamshells over the window boxes. I have both types and as they are stored so makes no odds to me. Just wondered why the different styles of packaging?

I prefer whatever keeps the figure safe and is easy to store. For archive sets, or special collector sets, I like old style boxes and such, but aside from that, small and safe! My box collection is getting way too big, especially now that I have almost 650 figures!

Seems the new Nile releases due May have been delayed at the moment to August! Pity,, Robin.

Coming to this thread a bit late.

No idea why different series have different style boxes. As a dealer no real issues with either way.

I do like being able to hang on hooks (ie. Zulus, WWI, ACW, AWI) as very convenient to display and re-arrange stock. Looks good having 20-30 figures from same series displayed in that manner and I think helps sell them better. If I have multiples of a figure I just use longer hooks so a great space saver. If a Window box then I place them behind each other on a shelf.

What! {eek3}.....where did you get this info Robin?

Jeff

Check TF store for the revised release dates for these. Richard has been kind enough to supply a reason which revolves around the pending Civil War anniversary, so all good, just have to be patient.{sm4}, Robin.
