Would like to buy my daughter a present of 1914 English Cavalry- similar to the troops we see charging across the field in Warhorse- would think this would be something that would be right down Britains path. Anyone know of any 1914-15 ish English cavalry sets out there??

Armies in Plastic- get her to paint them....or I can paint them- comeup looking nice in Gloss! if you could just trade the lance arms for more sword arms you would be laughing!

I dug out a figure i bought in Edinborough almost 20 years ago of this subject, because of the movie which I am yet to see- what a great horse that figure is!
I have assembled and primed it- and naturally am do to post some pics soon......

Regal/Soldiers of the World of New Zealand does a whole series of WW1 cavalry, including British cavalry of th 1914 period. They come in glossy or matte and are extremely well done. Mike Russo at Stockade Miniatures, 570-424-8507, is the stateside dealer. -- Al

Sandor, there are a lot of pictures of various sets under the glossy "Other manfacturers" section with the thread title Regal Soldiers of th World Collectors or go to their website at www.regaltoysoldiers.com. They have a huge variety of figures, but not all are pictured. -- Al

Here are my finds (good luck with getting her into the hobby-we need more women in the hobby^&cool

Sandor!! Are you trying to position yourself to date my daughter???? Trying to work a toy soldier angle as an "icebreaker"??? {sm4}{sm4}{sm4}

Funny you should mention that as she has quite an extensive collection of Schleich farm animals and accessories. She sets up some pretty cool dioramas with all that stuff. I bought her a build a rama grass terrain mat for her barns for Christmas. It all looks really good

Heritage has a range of mounted and dismounted, with more coming soon.
