I recently picked up an 'Images of War' series book titled 'War in the Balkans' (The battle for Greece & Crete 1940-1941) by Jeffery Plowman.
I'm about halfway through it and it's an easy read with loads of B&W rare photographs never been published before from private collections.
Plowman clearly knows his stuff and gives equal weight to every stage of this conflict which is often over looked in WW2 histories.
Was impressed to read about the ANZAC corps and the British Armoured Brigades, not to mention the Greek army giving it to the Italians.
If you've got a remote interest in the Greek, Crete campaigns, involving the Italians & Germans against the Commonwealth & British forces you'll enjoy this book and it's amazing photographs which at least 90% I've never seen before.
Cheers!
