With the 200th anniversary of the beginning of this war I thought surely John would have something out for this series.John, how about a collector's club figure of Andy Jackson.

I would agree with that statement. We need a ton of differnet figures. How about some British officers to start with!
The next couple of years is a good time to really add to this series; as you mentioned the the 200th anniversary.

What figures did you have in mind?

Still Chippawa was 1814 so we have some time .... but I am getting anxious!! {sm2} {sm2}

I'm with you Mark. An Andrew Jackson figure would be nice to own and I don't even collect this range.

I've been lobbying for New Orleans for a number of years now. Certainly offers a lot of variety:

On the British Side:
93rd (Sutherland) Highlanders (in trews)
95th Rifles
Royal Marines
Royal Navy Landing Parties
1st and 5th West India Regiments
4th, 21st, 40th, 43rd, foot
14th Light Dragoons
RHA (Rockets)

On The American Side:
US Marines
US Navy Gunners
New Orleans Militia
Louisiana Militia
Tennessee Militia
Choctaw Indians
Lafitte’s Pirates
3rd US Rifles
The First and Second Battalions of Free Men of Color
7tth and 44th US Infantry

Add to that both field and naval guns, scaling ladders, cotton bale field works. Not to mention the personality figures. Then again, Maybe he shouldn’t do this battle – I’d go broke.

If not New Orleans then how about the Creek War or one of the Seminole Wars.

Winfield Scott, Sir Phineas Riall, Sir Issac Brock, Tecumseh, Oliver Hazard Perry.

I'd rather see John add on to the Niagara Campaign that we've already invested in, than to start a new battle. - We could still use a set of NCOs for both Scott's Brigade and the Royal Scots. We've yet to see any personality figures such as Generals Jacob Brown, Winfield Scott, Gordon Drummond and Phineas Riall. There is still need for cavalry, US 2nd Light Dragoons and the Brit. 19th Lt. Dragoons. We've yet to see any US Infantry in the regulation blue uniform. Scott's 1st Brigade only wore the grey jacket, Ripley's 2nd Brig. wore regulation blue uniforms. - And this is just a partial listing of what John could still produce for the current Niagara Campaign/ Battle of Chippawa series.

With so many various series now offered by JJD, the new monthly release per individual series has slowed to a trickle (one release per month in most cases, and less than that for 1812). With this being the case, I'd prefer to see more additions to the series that has already been started than the start of a new one.

I'm more with Ken on this one...while I would welcome Seminole...Creek or New Orleans...especially the Battle of Horseshoe Bend...I would rather see some additions to Chippawa...

I need 3-5 more figures to man the 3 guns John produced for the British artillery crew...I own the British howitzer and the British 6 and 24 pounders and only have 5 British artillery crew members manning all 3 guns...BCHART01 (3 members) and BCHART02 (2 members) are not enough figures to man 3 guns...

John told me that he was going to add to the British artillery crew sets...but nothing yet...

Chippawa needs more British artillery crew...that would be a priority for me...

As Michael said, more artillery men would be a great addition to man the variety of guns now offered. A couple of wounded/dead gunners could also be used.
I'm hoping John plans to offer riders for the horse and limber set, or some figures on foot such as a horse holder and a ''runner'' carrying ammo. All of these artillery sets combined would create a wonderful British battery in action display. - Ken

I'm 100% with you and Ken on this one.

I certainly wouldn't argue that we couldn't use more gun crew figures, both American and British, especially since the available figures can't all be used at the same time on the same gun (I'm not sure about you, but I sure as heck am not going to be laying a gun while someone else is about to touch it off!). I am not a diorama builder but I do like to have quasi complete crews for my guns. Also would welcome some American troops in blue uniforms as well.

Still want New Orleans!

Now John, you really gone and done it .... we are going to be needing more gunners to guard the growing artillery train as well :).

Bests
