I've had an interest in military posters for sometime and thought about starting a thread to encourage members to add their own favorites......there's so many but here's one of mine.

Cheers.

These two are among the many I like, one because I'm Australian and two I'm a Queenslander.

I read a story regarding this poster. Rockwell had the permission of the gunner being used as his model to mess him up in terms of torn and dirty uniform, war weary look, whatever Rockwell wanted, BUT, the Browning MG itself must be presented in a clean and orderly fashion. Pride in one's tools and weapons that the professional exhibits. -- Al

Brings back memories . . . my uncle worked making tommy guns at Savage Arms in Utica New York and gave me about 160 war posters. I remember one of these was about dental hygiene and the artist drew a dentist with six fingers on one hand! To make a long story short, my dad gave them to the Navy Museum in the Washington Navy Yard without my permission, leaving me with only two (which I still have). As luck would have it, these were from Rockwell's freedom set and are worth a lot.
