I had actually asked this question on the Diorama Section - but, it really belongs here.

For those who are collecting the K&C Warbirds - How many of the 35 that have been released since March 2007 do you have ??

And which ones do you have ?? Share pictures - PLEASE.

I am really interested - I have bought Motion Model Planes before and they are nice - but will admit that ANDY's WARBIRDS are incredible !!

MM cost about $150 a throw - so thats is about as high that I would go for a plane.

But, then again - you never know what WARBIRD could catch my fancy :D

I have twelve (with a thirteenth in the process of delivery). Photos will have to await the Symposium, as I am still technology challenged. Among my favorites are the B25 Doolittle Raider, the ME110 in Afrika Corps markings, the Arado Floatplane, the Dick Bong P38 Lightning, and the Fairey Swordfish, but they are all amazing.

I have four of the new ones, really fantastic. Nothing else compares to it, but that's just me. I'm hoping to get two to three this year.

I also have a couple of the Motion Models ones but they were custom made and they were expensive, not just what they have in stock.

The "Marine's Dream" Corsair arrived today, and it is spectacular. I know these planes are expensive, but they are works of art. Those of you attending the symposium will get to see 13 in my collection, and several different ones in Larry Lo's collection, so you can decide for yourself about them.

There is one plane that i've just thought of that could possibly tempt me into Warbirds and then to financial ruin.(sounds a bit like ' you will be taken from here and then to a place of excecution'!!:eek:).That plane is the Bolton Paul Defiant,i would just love one of those. From early success in the Battle of Britain to huge losses when the Germans realised it had no forward firing MG's,i just think it looks a cool plane.I must have made half a dozen Airfix BPD's as a kid.

Rob,

Is that the one with a bomber turret?

Jeff

Thats right mate,i understand at the start of the Battle of Britain the Luftwaffe lost many planes who came at PBD from behind thinking it was a Hurricane, and got a nasty surprise.Of course as soon as the Luftwaffe caught on its day were numbered.I believe it went on to great success as a night fighter though.

Good news for you on that front Rob. I asked Andy about this plane a few months ago and it wasn't on his list of planes that he wanted to make. Of course, he has been known to change his mind.

Thought so, if I remember the Airfix model was made from black plastic to represent a night fighter.

Brad, the wife is very grateful:D;)(although i hope he may change his mind one day!)

Jeff thats right,it was in Black.

Might see if i can find an Airfix BPD at the show in London in March,a trip down memory lane as it were.Does anyone know if Corgi do one?

Rob

I wouldn't have wanted to be a gunner in one of them things. Apparently the turret was next to impossible to get out of in an emergency.
Cheers

Very unpleasant indeed.Must have been horrible knowing you were about to be attacked from the front.
