Have K&C ever made a Dakota or a Lightning ? and if not does anyone know if there are any available elsewhere in 1:32?

Scott,

K & C has made a couple of P 38s and a Dakota, but I have never seen a photo. However, Chris McKenna purchased a beautiful Dakota from noli poli. There are photos somewhere here of the Dakota.

The second P 38 is in Louis' collection.

Thank you Brad and NP for the photos.

I am planning a little dio as a tribute to my grandfather who flew Dakotas in WWII and he also is a member of the 1000 mile and hour club by flying a lightning.

My Nana also use to sew the barrage balloons and she and some of the other wives would make their own costumes and create dance routines to entertain the troops. So maybe a little tribute to her as well

Its wonderful to remember family members who served in WWII. I have a little shrine to my great uncles who died in B17's up in the aircraft room in my museum. I have my uncles' photos (actually taken on airfields in England, one in his dress uniform, one in his flight suit) and my Uncle Joe's Purple Heart set up next to a K&C B17 (the Sentimental Journey) on my RAF airfield diorama. The two K&C P38 Lightnings depicted above have just led the wounded Flying Fortress to a safe landing on the field, and the two K&C Marine Pilots, along with Captain Clark Gable, Winston Churchill, an RAF MP and a US MP are greeting the crew (I used the Frontline Memphis Belle crew). This is how I wished my Uncles last missions would have turned out.
