Guys...

Just ordered Vol one of Aircraft of the third reich by William Green and, was lucky to see a copy from a dealer friend and, its IMO one of the best books on german aircraft. Its due for release in September of this year and Vol 2 and Vol 3 in spring 2011 and, Autumn 2011 respectively £60 per volume but, they cover over 300 warplanes and, do the detail you would expect.

You might also want to check out Warplanes of the Luftwaffe, edited by David Donald. Excellent book on all warplanes they used. It's available on amazon.

Another good one from the British side is British Warplanes of World War II, edited by Daniel March, also available from amazon.

I don't have books that look this detailed on aircraft as its only been something that I have become interested in properly in the last few years so, for me, they will be really valuable. (Help me keep up with some of the deep conversations about aircraft on here)
