I’m having a change round in my office and need the space, so I have made the decision to sell some of the Dioramas I made over the last year or so, which comprise of WBritain figures from the War along the Nile range.
The British Gunboat on the way to Khartoum 1885.
This Diorama does NOT include the Gunboat and consists of a rebated mdf base, the underside of which is covered in green felt baize, and comes with an 8mm thick acrylic cover. Size is approx. 117cm long by 58.5cm deep by 31cm high. The cover fits neatly over the profiled board sides. All the figures are permanently attached & embedded into the ground work, and the bases are covered with scenery materials. The Nile River was the centre portion of the JG miniatures mat I already had, the rest was made using Woodland Scenics realistic water and painted to match.
Regarding the figures, some of the wounded Hadendoa & Mahdists were converted by the removal of the base, re-positioning arms, legs and then repainted. To give some variety I also repainted one of the Mahdist flags.
This diorama comprises 32 figures & 3 mounted camels.
The first three photos show the diorama for sale and the last two show with a gunboat in situ.
