Worked on a new WB Sherman over the weekend. I wanted to bring out some of the fine details and enhance the visual impression of it being a heavy metal AFV. I have to say, I'm pretty happy with the outcome.

Looking good, Dragoon! I like your placement of the figures with the tank as well.

Thanks Tristan. This little dio has a ways to go, but it's off to a good start. I really like the Hudson & Allen red brick wall, and as you know, it's a great starting point for building a scene around. - The darkening washes I applied to the tank gave its very mat surface a bit of a sheen and brings out a lot of detail not easily seen before.

Very well done Ken. Also, like Tristan, I really like the figures and how you placed them.

Jef and I are working on a video to show how our vehicles can be enhanced with additional weathering effects. Remember that we are also offering a vehicle accessory set to further individualize your vehicles. We are also working on a build video for the kit which will cover our favorite finishing tricks but it will be a few more weeks before either one is finished for viewing. We have been pretty busy painting masters for new additions to the range!
All the best,
Ken

Well that's great news, in however it will be taken, looking forward to it all.

Ken, the weathering turned out amazing as well as your overall display. Gotta luv framed dioramas as well as atmospheric backgrounds. A great mix of figures as well.

Fantastic diorama, Dragoon! I like how you cut down that H&A wall section to fit the smaller frame and area. I’ve got the same wall piece, and should order another to cut down to fit a smaller display area. But again, your diorama is fantastic!

Thanks Tman, I have a couple of IKEA Billy Bookcases with 10'' deep shelves, so if I keep the display base to 9'' x 12'' I'll at least have somewhere to put them. The H&A walls are easy to cut with a fine tooth saw, and then paint the cut end with some acrylic paint.

For those interested, I just returned from Michael's Craft Store where there is currently a super sale on all sizes of their Belmont frames; Buy one at regular price, get two more for free!! I picked up three 14-inch x 11-inch frames for dio bases. These are usually $19.99 a piece. I got all three for $21.09 with tax. That's just $7 a frame.
