Early war Troops with bicycles ! Very Plausable idea....IMO

I was watching the German War Files documentary on the light panzers and they showed a bunch of clips from the invasions of the Low Countries and France. There were bicycles everywhere.

How about the German infantry cart that K&C just released with the kettenkrad. It would be great to have a Normandy camo version of the infantry cart, with two German soldiers pulling the cart, loaded with equipment.

What do you guys think?

I guess get the Kettenkrad set and you could get that cart ! Bicycle troops would be a hit....IMO as would horse drawn Wehrmacht wagon sets as well.

IMO.....German "Bicycle troops" should go over well with most collectors as well as an early War "Panzer II" and a "horse drawn cart" set up. Blitzkrieg 1940 !!!
Yes there has been a ton of German releases, but these items were a very important part of the German War machine.

Nice, but TG made some germans by bike, so maybe the gap is already filled? Maybe one or 2 could be done anyway

Poppo,

True ....... However those figures are done in late War Camo and Winter uniform. Looking at Early War Germans in Gray, as in Invasion of Poland / France time line.

Wayne ,

Would really be great to see another PzKpfw II done by K&C...I got the previous version from them in Desert version ( DAK )...Do not have the grey version they did...Also would be great to see a Pz I command version tank along with those bicycle riders , would make a great looking diorama IMO...

Joe, Could not agree more. A fresh New Panzer II Early war version for Europe.

IMO, although great suggestions, Andy will be reluctant to go in a direction with the bicycles that another company did already (Thomas Gunn). Although TG did late war/winter bike riders and you're suggesting early/gray uniforms, I'm still not sure it'll be warmly received. I wish he would do a Sdkfz 251 "Stuka zu fuss," but I think its been done already by Figarti and FoV and probably less likely to be done by K&C.

Tanks are another story!

Personally, I've been holding on for a return of the Schwimmwagen...perhaps a version liberated by Tommies or Yanks. At the Market Garden festivities in Oosterbeek this weekend, a local collector was driving a really nice Kubelwagen around...

Hi Paul ! I am looking at early war Germans with the bicycles. The ones done by TG were late war Normandy and Winter versions. Hope you are enjoying your trip viewing those great Historic sites !

A Panzer II version such as depicted. Possibly two different turret marked versions with different tank commander figures !
