Does anyone remember the brief mark called Welsh Dragon Miniatures c. 1985 or so ? I remember that they only put out two small sets, the Camel Corps c. 1885 and the Royal Marines again from the same campaign.
I remember they were clad in dark gray tunics, wore gloves, had some equipment, and had goggles imprinted on their helmets. Officer wore brown gloves, I believe.

They looked great, but unfortunately quickly disappeared from the toy soldier scene...only boxed sets of 4. Any info would be appreciated. Uncled :)

Hi,
I have a empty box with a set list in it, but the figures I found in the box looked like Kingcast or Steadfast mtn screw gun artillery crew! I will try and scan the list to a photo.

I believe have a small collection which I purchased off e bay from the owner of WDM. The seller was a she and maybe the widow of the owner but if I recall she had painted the figures as she was a professional artist.

I think she was selling off the remainder of the collection/stock and my recollection is that the figures I purchase were SYW and Napoleonic. A rather eclectic mix of styling and poses but charming nonetheless. When I find the box and my camera (house move!) I will try to post a few pictures.

Welsh Dragon Miniatures was the creation of Chris and Michele Kynaston of Wales. The company was started in 1984.
Sets usually consisted of four infantry and also of two mounted pieces. Their offerings were very unique; Coldstream Guards
in greatcoats, Simcoe's Rangers of the American Revolution, Royal American Regiment of 1756.
