This thread is extremely interesting to view and keep tabs on. I too have lost out on items via the snipe bid and as Tom and Brad have pointed out, the ranting and raving afterward is pretty comical.

One time I was bothered by it so much I tossed and turned all night; the kicker was the sniper was a friend of mine who did not recognize my Ebay handle or else he wouldn't have sniped me (or so he claimed).

Really facinating stuff; we're up to 76.00 for a figure that was given at the show as a gift, nice return on that investment, 100%................

It is interesting to watch. Last year I sold the Chicago figure and the offers poured in after I had already taken the first offer. I have learned. But in the interest of fairness I said this was a 48 hr auction process. So, after 12:01 pm Wednesday the bidding will conclude. Any bids after 12:01 pm Treefrog time will not be accepted. This has been relatively friendly and above board. I would like it to stay that way. This has a flavor that ebay is missing. Shannon are you watching this?????

Just a thought, the Treefrog time at the bottom of my screen matches Pacfic Standard Time though Treefrog is in MN. I think it varies depending on where you indicate you live when you register as a Forum member. Since you also live in California, the deadline might be 3:01 p.m. EST for people on the East Coast.

Right now, it's 12:11 pm in the eastern time zone (NY area). Minnesota is in the central time zone, one hour behind, which means it's 11:11 am. In all fairness, I think you need to keep it open another 49 minutes.
