PS: I do want to thank Randy for all his patience and advice.

Yes i agree enough said and i apologise if i've sounded like a whinging Brit. Its just frustrating because i'd like to buy all these figures now,but i'll be getting my fair share.Keep up the good work Matt these will be the pride of my collections.I'm already selling a few to be replaced for these.
These are the perfect diorama figures and would be wasted on a plain glass shelf

Hic ' ...whatever do you mean ?.... hic :p

NAPOLEON BRANDY

"A fine brandy with a well balanced, smooth taste and distinctive French brandy character. St-Rémy uses eaux-de-vie distilled from eight grape varieties, which are aged 1-2 years, of which 6 months are spent exclusively in small 200 litre oak barrels."

... just trying to help ...

....
Amend Brother; very nice photographs of your new acquisitions. One thing that I really appreciate about these figures is that they really look even better in person but you have done a great job bringing out some of their beauty with these shots. Feel free to post as many as you like.

Posting particularly for those who do not yet have a Mother's Day gift - you may print this (;)):

This is the first picture of my Westphalians in formation.

One of the best pics I have ever seen here - congratulation - every collector is delighted to see your collection. :D best regards from Germany

Wow...that's all I can say. Is the grass board terrain and trees by Ken of Hudson and Allen? If so, I love his work and hats off to him. Your photography is fantastic as well. The figures aren't too shabby either if I do say so myself! :D

Fantastic stuff.

Regards,

Matt

And it's a hard rain's a-gonna fall.

The whole scene. With the rain clouds. Or is it powder?

Not bad at all are they Matt, you should pick yourself up one or two ;)
Great photo Andanna

Thats really nice Andanna ! I will have to get a grass base from Hudson & Allen.

Really nice scene. Those fine figures deserve a fine display and you have amply provided one hear. So the scenery in from Hudson and Allen? It is very nice indeed.

Thank you for all the kind words. The design of Ken's base and its versatility (including the ability to move the trees) can be seen here:

And please note the reference to the WWII Battle of Borodino. I was wondering whether Matt's new figures fit here as well, although the Battle of Borodino was 1940 rather than 1942/43.

Matt's figures used here are outstanding, so is the base with the birch copse.

Interestingly enough, if you walk the Borodino battlefield today you can still see scars from the WWII trench lines in the landscape. I think our figures could easily be used for the WWII Borodino in 1941. As the battle took place during October, the weather was roughly the same, the guys with gloves and such look the part quite well. One could argue that some of the camo helmet covers and such weren't prevalent until 1942, but this would really be a purist's view. Thus in my opinion, they'd work just fine...
