Very big, very impressive, beautiful buildings ,a lot of stuff - but what story does it tell?

Congratulations! Great sets and display! Huge, well executed and full of details! Just like Guy however, I did not get the story only by watching the film. If I am not mistaken I saw Russian tanks attacking the German defended city, but I could not link it with the magnificent Luftwaffe base you also built.
 
Yes, awesome dio but like the fellas below, i was a little confused with the layout, Russian tanks attacking in the middle and functioning luftwaffe airfield behind. Very nice collection though.

thanks everyone for the replies. The idea for the diorama is one continuous. Originally it was individual dios then the idea came to blend them and make them easier on the eyes. I agree that the tank battle looks kind of out of place next to the airport. you kind of have to imagine it as if it were in sections. The only difference is the blended groundwork from scene to scene. This section is 20 ft long and is three scenes in all. The first section displays Hitler and his wife and the SS bodyguards. The second is a small recreation of the battle of kursk, and lastly my most favorite the airfield. The next section in the works is Stalingrad it will blend into the scene Hitler and his family and run to the wall. All in all it will be another 12 ft. Its actually already built it just has to be redone with the new idea. Hope everyone enjoys I'll make sure to keep it posted.
 
Looks great - its huge! Loved moving footage.

Its like a WW2 themed mini golf (Putt Putt) course. I waited for someone to walk through with a golf club!{sm4}{sm4}
 
visually appealing but, agree with guy what is it supposed to be saying?? with things like the GC you get an instant idea where you are. I must say not keen on the title what is a ''real'' dio????

I put "real diorama" because I see a lot of very nice collectables being displayed with simple photo backgrounds and nothing else. I personally feel that if you spend the money on a good price you should put an equal amount of time into displaying it. A photo and some moss is not a diorama in my opinion. I think I'd rather see the pieces displayed on a shelf. put some time in people. And some imagination. Lol and just to add to the last comment. I really really never want my girl to say to me. "don't worry about it hun less is more" lol

couldnt agree more. i like when people put a tank and a few figures on a grass mat take a pic and everyone tells them its a great dio, dont be lazy people.put your backs into it

Well waynepoo as you can see I'm brand new to the forum. So when I learn how to post pics I will. But all mine are hand made and large. Im better at dio's than computers.

Lol no relation but I saw there was a chocolate mousse here. I prefer vanilla over chocolate tho. Nothing personal chocolate
