I got a digital camera! I want to thank my parents, for giving the camera, and the Lord, for giving me such a great Mom and Dad!
It's a Nikon Coolpix S210. Here are my first pictures, which I have taken myself, posted here in the forum....
These are from my Christmas display, what we call here in Pennsylvania Dutch country, the Putz. No, not a jerk-off, that's Yiddish. "Putz" comes from putzen, which means "to clean, usually by scrubbing" (so you can see, then, where the Yiddish slang meaning comes from-think about it). Then further, it means "decorations", we clean and decorate our homes for Christmas.
Enough language lessons, here are the pics. This year, the display is "Weihnachtsparade 2008", with the Kaiser Alexander Grenadiers parading, and Kaiser Wilhelm taking the salute. Alles Gute zum Geburtstag, Jesus!
This is the color party, followed by the Feldmusik, the fifes and drums:

Here is a view of the Leibkompanie, passing the review party:

Here is a close shot of the grenadiers performing a right wheel before passing the review:

In the background is a color party of the Garde-Jäger-Abteilung, the Guard Jäger Detachment, which are by Rose (Russell Gammage).
This is a head-on shot of the color party:

And this is a battery of the Feldartillerie-Regiment Nr. 1 "Prinz Albrecht", to provide the salute:

I have seven of those sets, I think, or maybe eight, but four was all I could fit on the table
The Kaiser Alexander Grenadier sets are by Guard Corps, the artillery sets are from Britain's Premier Series by Charles Biggs, and the remaining figures are by Stadden, Gammage, Lasset, and one figure by Mike Ferguson (a figure of the Kaiser's eldest daughter, Viktoria Luise, as Chefin of the Leib-Husaren-Regiment.
I am still learning the features of the camera, and I would rather have had better lighting, but I'm glad and excited to be able to share these now with you all, after only watching since I first joined the forum.
A merry Christmas to you all, prost!
Brad

I can't complain to much. I have always put off getting the WS070sl in anticipation that a new release would be coming soon. Well I finally gave in and put it on the old xmas wish list knowing that it was well out of my wifes price range and that I would probably not get it. On xmas morning there was one present left under the tree wrapped in barbi xmas paper....as my daughter ran towards it my wife quickly stopped her and said this ones for daddy. My first impression was you gotta be kiddin me this must be a joke present wrapped in barbi paper but to my surprise when I opened it I found WS070sl. Needless to say I was grinning from ear to ear.

Your set-up is so very "Prussian"Great Putz!
