What Do We K&c Guys Do For A Living (2 Viewers)

Thanks Ron! Must ... stay ... focussed ... (Actually, you've hit me at vulnerable time - I'm watching the Sharpe DVDs at the moment). North Africa and FJs ... North Africa and FJs ...

I sell toys and do Search Engine Optimization (SEO) consulting for friends - though it might become a bit more than that.

I'm not a K&C guy, as such, but I thought maybe just plain ol' collectors could chime in, too. I work for a software firm in Allentown PA, doing testing and quality assurance. Before that, I worked for another company for 10 years, doing support, training and testing. Before that, I worked for a bank, training new employees and working on the strategic planning staff.

Apart from work and toy soldiers, I also belong to a community theater, where I do lighting design, set construction and other technical work (and have appeared on stage): I was on its board of directors for 10 years, and served as president for a year. I also ride bike for recreation and for charity (help fight MS!), and I brew beer. Used to play softball, but I've gotten too slow to compete.

Prost, beianand!

Cool I rode to fight MS too on my mountain bike. I rode from Houston to Austin which was 160+ miles in two days. It was a lot fun and they have it every year in April. Its been a few years since I last did it but I'm planning on doing it next year.

Do it, definitely!

I ride in the City to Shore Tour (Cherry Hill to Ocean City, in New Jersey) with a team of my friends, it's for a good cause, and it's a lot of fun.

Do they offer a century loop on the Houston tour? That would be a 100 mile course on the first day, then follow the regular course back.

And did you find when you told people you were riding an MS ride, a lot more people have MS, or know someone who has it, then you may have first though?

Prost!
Brad

Not sure if they offer the century loop and yes I surprised that a lot of people have it. I rode it three years so this will be my fourth.

I owned a nutrition and supplement company in the early to mid 1990's, started Minutemen Toy Soldiers part time in 1997 and have never looked back, have done this full time for the past eight years and I love every second of it...............

And you are so good at it - George !! :D

But, I always took you as a construction guy in your former life ?

Ron,
Nice observation; in a past life, I worked on a road crew that resurfaced highways, nothing like pushing around hot tar when it's 90 degrees out....................................

In about 55 days I will be a Midshipman. My first job--let's hope I don't lose it!

Wow, and congratulations! That is obviously a big deal, Tex. I look forward to hearing all about that as it is going down...you will have to give us periodic updates on that.

Mister Dave, MAJ, MC, USAR

Thanks. I don't think I will have access to a computer during Plebe summer, but I'll be back on here in the fall (when I am not hitting the books or learning rates...)

Congratulations, Tex. Citizens such as yourself are the best we have to offer. Keep to the grindstone and best of luck.

Eric

Thanks.

And thanks to all the rest of you who have served.
