The answer to this inquiry maybe obvious to some, but just to clarify exactly what it does mean -- what does the #1 following the set no. 43062 - Russian Horse Artillery Set #1 and the set no. 43162 - Russian Tarutinski Jagers Advancing Set #1 actually mean? Does it indicate that a set #2 is in the works? Or does it mean that a set #2 is planned sometime(?) in the future? Thanks.

Hi Dick:

Good question - it does mean that at some point we may produce additional versions - #2, #3 etc. - but there are no guarantees. It all of course depends on sales and popularity of the range. We of course always like to be optimistic when starting out and number the sets under the assumption more will follow.

Hope this helps,

Richard

Thanks. It is understandable. It's too bad though that my collecting certain figures will depend on whether there are thousands of other nuts like me out there.

A question -- since collectors don't have access to your saels records, approximatey when would a collector know if there will be a number 2 in the series? 3 months, 6months? etc., etc.?

Hi Dick:

Another good question - typically we will follow up every range at least once - witness the second round of releases for Crimea and Indian Mutiny - over a 6-12 month period. Then we will let the range run as is for another 6-12 months before making decisions. So at the end of the day every new range has at least 18-24 months to prove itself (and would consist of the initial robust release and at least one follow on release). Even if a range should not perform as well as we had hoped we may elect to continue adding a limited number of select pieces through the year so it can be added to - and I will always try to do at least this when possible.

All the best,

Richard
