What Team Is Your SuperBowl Pick And Why (1 Viewer)

Weather looks to be favoring the Broncos at this point:

High of 44 degrees, a low of 27, partly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of precipitation and six-to-eight mile-an-hour winds.

However, that is the day time forecast. Since the game will be played at night, forecast is for 23, with a 30 chance of precipitation, same amount of winds (and Met Life is a windy place).

If it's in the low 20s/high teens, advantage back to the Seahawks.

Denver because Manning is a great QB and will find a way to score. And a Toronto boy, Orlando Franklin is the starting right tackle. He is a two time graduate of the Scarborough Detention Centre and is supported by Mayor Rob Ford who is wearing the #74 Denver jersey.

There was no better big game coach than Pete Carroll at USC. Give him time to prepare his team and they are ready to play. The one thing he can't do much about though is Russell Wilson who has not shown up in the playoffs. I think Manning can put up three TDs against the Seattle D. The question then is whether the Seattle offense can score 20 points. I'm going with Denver 27 Seattle 24.

Yes, I'm sure Pete the poodle will have the Seachickens pumped and jacked as he likes to say.

Defensively, they can hold their own vs Denver; whether their offense, which has been pretty offensive in the playoffs, can score is the big question.

Manning can't throw deep anymore, which is why Denver brought Welker in, who runs all those rinky dink underneath routes, same for their tight end; Seattle can and will take all that dink and dunk underneath crap Manning killed San Diego and New England with, forcing him into throwing deep.

If Manning soils himself and throws a couple of INT's, Seattle has a shot; otherwise, no turnovers = no win for Seattle.

Talk about much ado abut nothing.:rolleyes2: The weather report this morning: high of 50 degrees, at game time, cloudy, 45 degrees and very little wind. Weather will have absolutely no effect on the outcome of this game.

I'm taking Denver -2...

my biggest fear is that Seattle will control the game clock with their offensive running game and a defense that stymies Denver's running game...and forces them into a complete passing game...

if so...Peyton's arm may be a non-factor...watching on the sideline as the Seahawks have those long 7-8 minute drives that kill the clock...

should be a good game...

I think both conferences are represented by the most deserving teams...

that's a lot of wings...

Super Bowl 2014, the National Football League’s championship game, will be held on Feb. 2. A very popular meat item for this highly touted sports event is chicken wings. According to the National Chicken Council’s 2013 Wing Report,

more than 1.23 billion wing portions were consumed during the Super Bowl 2013 weekend.

There was even a rumor prior to the big game that there would be a shortage of wings.

From what I have heard and read, this doesn't like it has been the most successful SB week and NFL is probably not too happy.

First, there really hasn't been a huge demand for tickets and prices have dropped. The NFL has also been sued by a fan under a NJ consumer statute that may have some legs.

Second, there really hasn't been much of a buzz about the game in the region. Usually, when a town hosts a SB, the event takes over the town but no offense to small cities like New Orleans or Indianopolis that's the main thing going on that week when they host it. However, NY is so big and so many things are happening that NY has swallowed up the SB. The SB is just not going to faze cities like Boston, NY or Chicago where you're never spoiled for things to do.
