A sudden realization prods me to wonder what products HB will brings to the Show?

With the rest of the competition rather busy with new ranges and releases, HB is rather quiet, and has not voiced anything about new releases.

With the end of the Gold edition, the only viable item that i think they may bring is the flamethrower figure set.

I'm very curious if it means HB will unveil newer figure sets with the flamethrower, but from my understanding, the winter versions of the medic team and the radio team won't be available till November.

Anybody has any idea?

HB had their new GI medical figures and German flamethrower teams, due out in about a month with a production of 50 sets. Yes they are back to a larger size. Also the winter medical & radio sets will also be larger.

good to hear about the size Gary, so they only bought 2 sets to the show?(GI medical figures and German flamethrower teams). and is the flamethrower team SS or Whermacht?

I don't collect the HB product line but for those who do I am glad that HB will "re- release" the winter medical and radio sets.....so that those who want them will not be price gouged on the secondary market......thank you HB

Here are some pics I took.

thanks Alex, the german flamethrower is a must!
and even the tank is correctly angled!
the only thing i'm unhappy with the flamethrower set is why wear the waffen SS peadot helmet cover, when the germans are Whermacht?
can this be rectified Ana?

The helmet cover looks to be splinter pattern, which is fine for the Wehrmacht. If it is dot pattern, then it is a fantasy cover since they did not exist.

you are spot on mate, if it is splinter it is fine.
but it looks like peadot to me.
hopefully i'm wrong.

Hey guys, no need to panic over the helmet camo scheme. There are plenty of possibilities for the SS cover. Could be the wearer is from the 4th SS Division which wore Army style uniforms and markings and had SS camo as well. There is also other photo evidence of army troopers in SS camo. Although not real common, crossover did occur. After all, they all served next to each other. -- lancer

hi lancer, thanks for the post.

i felt that if HB really wants it to be SS Polizei, HB must include at least the Polizei Helmet Decals on the bare helmets.

if HB excludes the Polizei insignia and cuff titles on the uniforms i can undestand.

and if you have pictures of Whermacht crossovers in SS attire, i would appreciate it if you post them.

thank you in advance.

sincerely,

Greetings Nasir -- unfortunately I cannot post pics. No apptitude or equipment to do so. The photos I saw of crossover camo issue were seen many years ago when I was into WW2 German Army studies and probably consisted of 2 (if memory serves) photos and some related text. They were in a German publication but that is all I can recall. I'm sure you know that helmet decal application became less common and more haphazard as the war went on and the plain unmarked helmet became the norm. Also I have seen photos of SS troops in Heer camo. Both crossovers were relatively rare and SS camo remains a highly reliable ID factor in photos of the identification of SS troops. Maybe someone with current uniform studies (and there are many such studies) can help. I'm just working from memory. -- lancer
