What will you be doing this time next week (1 Viewer)

I will be working and hopefully enjoying the company of our just adopted 18 month old Alaskan Malamute named Jessie.:D Yes I will also look forward to reports from the show, especially those that focus on more that one manufacturer.;)

Louis,

Every time a starter goes out and a reliever comes in, it's an adventure, the likes of which I've never seen before. Apparently, they have the highest number of relief pitcher appearances per 9 innings in MLB this year, 3.4.

Carlos Beltran said yesterday something to the effect that "I know they're trying but I can't believe this is happening." Neither can the fans. The one to blame is Omar Minaya, the GM, for putting together what has to be the worst bullpen ever.

I know Brad, I know! I feel the same way about Cashman with the "young pitchers" idea. The Yanks pass on Johan Santana and go with Phil Highes and Ian Kennedy, who are 0-for-the-season, and the Yankees miss the playoffs in the last year of Yankee Stadium. I can only hope that either Cashman gets a clue and gets us some starting pitching, or gets fired and replaced by somebody who will!

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. The Twins would have traded for one of those guys. Thank god they didn't. Santana is what every team needs: a stopper and a guy you can rely on.

Mets back in First place. If they can just win one more this weekend in the House of Horrors (Atlanta), they should be in good shape, particularly with the Brewers imploding and the Cubs clinching this weekend (Mets play them next week).

I am going to bed. I'll be leaving for the airport in 8 hours! See everyone at the OTSN tomorrow morning!!
