What would collectors like to see from W. Britain in the future. (2 Viewers)

The last Collector club figures are on the water and will be sent to club members when they arrive.
They missed our last container by one day. That is all it takes when you are consolidating with other products headed in for the same company.

Please try to keep this thread on track so I can get the feedback that I view as important for new product development.

By the way...several suggestions are already in the works, including classic gloss figures.
All the best,
Ken

Collector club figures I think were due May, it is only the 5th of June. Britains does releases for the season/year where are K&C do theirs monthly, just a different way of doing things. I feel that they are getting better with their release times though.

As previously mentioned the RMLI would be a welcome addition to the Sudan series, along with Egyptian troops and more native warriors, and I have still room for more Black Watch, Yorks&Lancs and Navel Brigade.anything from WW1, I would also want 24th foot soldiers in relaxed dress resting after the battle for Rorkes drift , and maybe some on look out, these would go nicely with the new clearing the yard figures ,plus more combative figures for Isandlwana ,I am always pleasantly surprised with new releases that Britains produce

For a suggestion - back to Normandy 1944! My specific suggestion is a US Army light machine gun team with the classic M1919A4 light MG on M2 tripod. This would be a nice complement to the earlier Britains sets and could work with Conte and ONTC. The .30 cal. M1919A4 was the standard light MG for the US Army and USMC infantry companies. The gun was usually fired from a prone or other very low position. Britains could give us the gun, gunner and assistant in one set and add an ammo bearer running forward with ammo cans or a 250-round canvas belt, and maybe a prone figure with rifle or carbine to protect the gun team. These figures seem to be in demand as the old Conte metal team is scare in the market place and the plastic figures of the MG team command premium prices when they can be found at all.

Then in 2016 the basic poses can be changed to USMC figures and in 2017 they can be changed to US Airborne. All units need .30 cal MGs!

Hi Ken,
I collect your Napoleonic and Zulu range. The Zulu range has been well complemented by some excellent scenics while the Napoleonics scenics are thin on the ground. How about some buildings re. Waterloo -perhaps some of the structures around the Northgate which you produced a while back I noted your new casualty figures, but more are needed as Waterloo was one of the most destructive fields ever! In front of the Allied squares were hundreds of dead horses and cavalrymen especially cuirassiers....so, just a few thoughts to be going on with!! Cheer's Johnboy

If Britains do decide to do a WWII "Paciific Theatre range, could they NOT do it as a collection of individual figures as they do for some of their other ranges. So instead of (say) a "Japanese Soldier" or "USN Nayy Airman", do as they do with their World War I range and have a series of co-ordinated inter-related figures representing a particular battle or campaign. My choice would be Guadalcanal. say "Edsons Ridge".

And also, by the way Waterloo Prussians!

World War Two

1. Late war Winter troops. German Heer/Waffen SS troops in white, overcoats, camo with gloves/head scarves and U.S. Troops in overcoats.

2. Late war German Heer infantry (1944-1945). A mix of late war grey uniforms with short boots as well as Heer camouflage items. No one has done late war Heer in forever.

3. Elite German Heer units - Grossdeutchland on East Front or Panzer Lehr in Notmandy. Panzer Lehr had unique uniforms for their infantry no one has done.

Waffen SS - yes they were done to death in the past. It's been years since new Waffen SS figures have been around.

4. Tankers and 1/2 body tank commanders. German in a mix of uniforms/camo and U.S. Tankers.

Personally I have no interest in WW2 Packfic and would like to see a return to Normandy.

Following on from my earlier message must add the 71st regiment --- The Highland Light Infantry. What about the scene where the 71st turned a captured French cannon and fired it at its former owners, who were now retreating. The last ,"French", cannon fired at the battle.
Only 3 days to go.
