July, 1941, the Minsk encirclement has been completed and it's on to the Dnieper. As units untangle themselves, a German command element looks east, past abandoned barricades and rail cars, wondering what's waiting for them up ahead.

Hey thanks guys, it's nice to be back after taking a little break-if only I'd used the break to get a few photography lessons as some of the artists on this Board give me a good bit of 'photo envy'{sm4}. Here's a few more pics as the 'boss' has now linked up with the spearhead:

Very cool! Everything looks great the way you have it laid out. Thanks for sharing.

That is a great paint job on the HJB Sd Kfz 250. Did you do it? How did you get it to match First Legion so well?

Thanks much guys, I'd forgotten how much fun it is to 'put some pieces together'.

Bradley, thanks for your comment, I 'weathered the crap' {sm4} out of that HJB halftrack with multiple 'dirty washes', some dry brushing and a little touch up here and there. The HJB 250's seem to go quite well with FL vehicles.

You obviously have an impressive collection and it's a great looking display. Whose is the schwimwagen? Is it Forces of Valor?

Thanks much Graycap ! It is indeed both a FOV Schwimmer & Kubel that that I converted paint color from dunkelgelb to to Feldgrau and then weathered 'em to make fit my early ETO (grey) theme.

Mike, this series of pictures is really working for me. Keep at it.

Thanks very much Frank, I'm going to visit your tutorial and see if this old dog can learn some new tricks first :salute::

A Motorcycle Recon Unit with radio team is pushes further east, along the railroad tracks, looking for the enemy, most privately hoping the spearhead arrives before they make contact.
