As promised by Pete in the "Who's going to the Chicago show" thread I am ready to announce our plans for Room 5202 at the show...
In addition to our main room (5203 directly across the hall) we have added Room 5202 which will be entirely devoted to diorama accessories--buildings, trees, bases, you name it primarily focusing on Build-A-Rama, JG Miniatures and Hudson & Allen products.

Room 5202 will open on Friday as the accessory room but come Saturday it will transform into the toy soldier-painting, diorama-accessory-making, figure-repairing clinic and demonstration room. Ken Osen, Ana Donzino and Compton Kreel will be offering clinics and demos on the following topics throughout the day:
  • Setting the Scene-historical settings, backdrops and the use of common materials to make a scene come alive
  • Home Repair of Your Collectibles
  • Glossy Painting Techniques
  • Painting Basic Figure Faces
  • Painting Connoisier Figure Faces
There will be a schedule printed up at the show and you can come and go from the demos as you like. We will attempt to videotape the demos and get them or at least portions of them on the how-to area of the Treefrog resource pages.
If you have a particular topic you are interested in we may be able to add something in as we have a very flexible group of people doing the clinics.
I am very excited to offer this opportunity to collectors and look forward to your feedback on this event.
A huge thanks to Ken, Ana and Compton for their time and expertise!

:D:confused:Depends!? What's your definition of LEGAL!

Yea - We EVEN have new rules in Washington, DC for Lobbyist

It takes LEGAL to all new level......

Can't beat a good bit of badge trading.....I have a massive badge/pin colection primarily from Olympics going way back...already got a good number for 2008 China....is that sad!
Beers and a good chat would be a fair trade and I am sure that is legal even in America?:p

I attended Ken Osen's first presentation on making dioramas, and went back for the reprise later in the afternoon. It was great as he actually created the scene as he spoke. I am anxious to try his technique.

I wish I could have attended all of his sessions, but I had to have some time to buy figures and stuff.

Many thanks to Treefrog Treasures for sponsoring Ken's appearance.
