With Battle of Monongahela, Siege of Quebec and Battle of Snow Shoes finished or near the end...

and St. Francis definitely in it's final chapter...

I wonder what John's next range will be and when he might announce it...

Culloden and 1812 may have another year or so left...

and while I know he's barely scratched the surface of Ticonderoga and the same with the Sudan...

I know from past experience that John does quite a few ranges at the same time...

he's always kept 5 or 6 series going at once...

I wonder if he is going to start something new for 2011...

I'm out of guesses after the Spanish Civil War and WWI planes. Those were real surprises. Could be anything. Saratoga has been mentioned. That would be interesting. Some great personalities. However, I hope John holds off a bit as the plate seems full. Last month's releases ran close to $500 if you bought everything including the club set.

I'd hope to see John expand some of his current series, featuring other campaigns for the different periods. For F&I he's already done it with Ticonderoga.

For 1812, I'd like to see him do something featuring the navies of that conflict. Or something to do with Tecumseh (Maybe the great Shawnee Chief and Gen. Brock at the seige of Detroit).

And hopefully Culloden is FAR from finished - So many more personalities and troops to present. There's Cumberland & staff, Prince Charles and Lord Murray, British dragoons and artillery, 64th (Loudon's) Highlander rgmt., Lowland Scots, Royal Ecossois, the Irish Picquets, Bagot's Hussars & the Prince's Lifeguards. THIS SERIES COULD GO ON FOR YEARS!! :)
Here's to hoping. - Ken

Would like to see the 1745 series continue for a while. This is my favorite series of figures being done by anyone. Would like to see the WW1 planes continue, with airfield accessories, as this is my favorite series of anykind done by anyone. I guess you would say that JJD is my favorite manufacturer. If I could vote for a new series, it would be the Franco-Prussian War of 1870. I want that colorful French infantry and cavalry. -- Al

I would like to see some 48th foot/grenadiers for the monongahela. To me, I think one way John could expand upon his ranges now is to add more regiments that participated in the battles.

Example: the 48th at monongahela; more Brit. regt.s at P. Abraham, Culloden, etc. Also, there was way more Indians at the monongahela than french, and my french collection is outnumbering the Indians....so....perhaps more Indians would be nice :D

Also, he can keep expanding if he keeps releasing sets that are simply different poses. Like his return to monongahela figs, he could go on almost forever making new and unique poses. Having a display with no two figures alike, wow!

And of course, just as someone (i think combat) is always plugging for bushy run (which i agree would be cool), i'll plug for ft. necessity ;)

I think John is listening to his customers and doing what they tell him they want - along with, perhaps, a business sense of being where the other manufacturers are not.

It's good to speak up and let him know what you like, but I don't think his production choices are based on his personal likes and dislikes. As the last two series demonstrate, it's not linear thinking.

Blake...I'll take as many Indians as he makes...he may make some for Chippewa...

For a completely new series I would second Al's choice for the Franco-Prussian War. The uniforms of the period are fantastic for all sides involved, especially the French.

Have a look at the link below. The French might have lost the war, But they sure looked good fighting it. ;)

With Ticonderoga and the new WWI releases, I am not expecting any new release lines for the remainder of the year. Only so much a man can do in 24 hours.

However, I do not expect St. Francis or Culloden to be finished anywhere in the near future. I am thinking several years left on both these lines.

Hi guys
Sure ,as far as I am concerned , The french and prussian war would be a great range very rich and colorfull, but also too much great and expensive. (what a lot of figures to think about. I have the sea sick;
I prefer more precise scenics :for exemple the house of the last cartridges (from
a painting of de Neuville ): the french marine infantry against the bavarians ;
or for the troops of the second empire ,why not the french legion at Camerone
against mexicans?

From conversations with John I think Culloden has many more additions to come and Roger's Rangers in action poses for St. Francis are on the drawing board.
Ticonderoga will be big this year with the French and their defence works. Sudan could be busy with the addition of the Madhist army and camels.
Certainly WWI aircraft and crews are forthcoming as well.

With all the above going on I think John may try to only release some new limited series. He did mention once his interest in Medieval warfare so perhaps several War of the Roses figures or the Hundred Years Wars battles.

I don't think 1812 is over by a long shot either......

I will be interested to see if he produces any aircraft for the Condor Legion. If he does something entirely new, hopefully it is limited in scope like BOS. Ticonderoga could be a massive undertaking. So something a bit more manageable would be nice. I don't think it will be Bushy Run or Ft. Necessity, but a small battle along those lines. There was a poll a while back which indicated support for the Boer War and Indian Mutiny, but neither of those catch my fancy. My recent interest has also waned with the Sudan and 1812 sets.

I will second the call for more indians. John's indians are the best and they are what got me interested in his figures.

How about some more LaCrosse players (indians &/or settlers) to accompany the first set? At least make a game of it.

Both the Sudan and 1812 fit in with my plan to do an historical look at the British Empire and their wars. I already have some of the figures and will be getting a few more, but not in the amount I hae collected Quebec City. I also expect to get quite a few AFVs, vehicles and aircraft and figures from the many international units in the Spanish Civil War.

Based on a very recent letter from John (tucked in the packing box of my Tripane that was delivered last week) he noted that Ticonderoga (QUOTE) "Luckily for me have all proved popular and sucessful. So My work will be cut out for the next few years" (UNQUOTE). Based on that I'd say there will most definately be more Ticonderoga marching into our collections in the future.

If I could wish for anything for a new series from John, it would actually be a fictitious one!
I would simply love having him do "Treasure Island" - Think the attack on the stockade - I bet John would do some mean pirates:D

Something Medieval like the War of the Roses or the Hundred Years Wars wouldn't be half bad either though;)

Well if I would add one more series onto my ''Want John to Do List'', It would be the Battle of the Little Big Horn. John does a great job portraying Woodland Indians, so I'm sure he would do the same with tribes of the Great Plains. It's also a battle which would contain a lot of recognizable pesonality figures - George & Tom Custer, W.W. Cooke, Crazy Horse, Gall, Crow King etc. There's also a ton of books on the subject to keep peoples interest going. - Ken

Saratoga would be awesome. But, john does have alot going rite now... so will see I guess.

Someday, John will tackle Pontiac's War, especially as the commanding officer surrendering Fort Ouiatenon in Indiana was Lt. Edward John Jenkins!!!

I have it from a prestigious authority that Lt. Jenkins is actually John's great great great great great grandfather!!

I think these garrison troops were from the 60th regiment, Royal Americans, but could be wrong.
