Whats your first buy for 2009? (1 Viewer)

More sailors. Mine came in and they are very cool! But I am hoping that the USS San Pueblo becomes a reality so I need to save my nickels for that one! DO you think K&C will make a second set of sailors? I hope so, but I need to finish my collection of these guys first.

As this is just the first Sand Pebbles release theres bound to be more in the future i think.

I am so with your sentiments on a ship, being made. Also, I wish the BAR sailor had a more dynamic pose. We also need mounted maxims and deck guns....Michael

My first purchase for 2009 was also my first ever purchase.

I picked up FW024 Sir John French from the Great War series today from Kings X in San Antonio.

In which case, welcome to your financial doom! :D

I think it makes it even worse that I work a block away from the Kings X store here in San Antonio.
I am being conservative right now and just 1 figure a payday but I think that will change quickly.

The Kaiser and his Staff Car. Awesome.

How could anyone pass up the Kaiser? I love the WWI personality figures. I think that Otto Dix with a sketchbook in hand and a copy of Zarathustra peeking out of his pocket would be cool. What about Wilfred Owen writing poetry? Harry Truman as an artillery officer? Many, many options.

Yes as a fairly new range WW1 has a lot of subjects to choose from, looking forward to seeing this range grow and grow.

Sounds good to me. I just acquired the Kaiser and plan to add most of the current personality figures from WWI in the coming months.

Well my first order of 2009 arrives tommorow,a set of the retiring Tank riders and four more single Arnhem Paras.Guess i'm waiting on the postman tommorow!;)

I ordered some K&C Paratroopers to go with the Greyhound I won on Ebay a little while back. After watching Band of Brothers all over again this past Christmas - I felt there should be a Paratrooper display in my collection.

So DD 46 - Paratrooper Set was my first for 2009 (before it was retired :D)

A classic set Ron,good choice for your first 2009 purchase. With all the older D Day sets gradually being retired do i sense something big coming for D Day this year?.Its a bit like the scene from 'The Longest Day' where the German soldier is scanning the Horizon.....and then he spots the invasion!;)

Anyone would think you have a sneaky idea what is on the horizon Rob!
Have your cryptologists cracked the Enigma code? :)
