The Collectors Showcase is pleased to present the third installment of our early war American Civil War series: Wheats Tiger Zouves.

Raised in New Orleans these Zouves were amongst the gritiest, toughest and hard headed troops the South fielded during the war. This infamous unit was responsible for anchoring the Southern line at the Battle of First Manassas in 1861 and fought like the " devil " throughout most of the war. The Lousiana Tiger Zouves lead the South to victory at: Winchester, Port Royal, and Fort Royal.

Let our Tiger Zouves lead your Southern advance to certain victory as well! We've created a complete charging line of Tiger Zouves for your display. These are 54mm pewter figures, hand painted and limited to just 300 sets worldwide. These are the very last sets to be at the 300 limited edition quantities, next year were off to 400!

Check out our site: www.thecollectorsshowcase.com for more pics and a list of all of our dealers that will have these sets available in mid November!

You are making it harder and harder to avoid the civil war line. These guys look GREAT.

MAkes a change from Tigers attacking through the wheat.
Great figures Brian.

I got my Wheat's Tigers the other day. What great sets these figures make!! I hope you continue on with other sets of them and more ACW units. I'd like to see a Stonewall Jackson at 1st Manassas.

I think Ill be getting the Zouves for the holidays. I found my catalog downstairs by the phone... one can only hope.

Yep, I got the command set as one of my gifts. Looks outstanding, Collectors Showcase has certainly been added to my budget for 2009. Keep up the great work Brian!

Harris

How do they look ?

Do they go well with the new K&C figures ??

Ron

Am I the only one who is having trouble keeping the flag bearer on his feet ? I think the flag weighs more then the figure.

Im not home yet from Savannah so I wont know for another week how they actually go. But from what I can tell, detail wise they will fit right in but size they might be a tad smaller.

I was in Gettysburg today - and went ahead & bought myself an early BIRTHDAY PRESENT !

Yep - The Wheat Tigers are in WASHINGTON, DC !!

Since you figured it out Ron, how did you get the flag bearer to stand up with the flag? Ive already emailed CS and they said to try gluing it in place and letting it set against a jar. But before I try anything relatively permanent I want to hear any other options out there.

Jenkins has some heavy flags too.Maybe they should try to make the flags out of cloth.

I used "Glue Dots" - from Michaels Hobby Store - under the Flagman - you also can use "Bards Tackey Wax" which Treefrog sells under diorama accessories ! ;)

This is common with most Flagmen with Large Flags.

Ah, I have some stuff similar to tackey at home already so Ill be giving that a shot and see how that goes. Thanks for the tip.

I saw the figures in the shop. The skin tone is great. Brians crew has gotten it!

Brian - any thoughts of making more Wheat's Tiger zouaves? These guys could use reinforcements

I'm also for some more Wheats Tiger reinforcements...I believe these were pretty good sellers as well!!! What do ya say TCS??? Maybe revisit this unit with some firing poses?

I've put both the Wheats and the 14th on the " margin " of our schedule for this year so lets see if we can't get those going. I think both would be great additions!

Cheers,

Brian
