Yeah... that would be funny to say the least, but from what I've heard, if it ever happened it wouldn't be the first time: not sure, but apparently Patton's family did this a few years ago.

What a terrific figure. Great resemblence achieved ! Nice job on the detective work !!!

Just love these these home front type figures, the way the RAF,UXB, 'For you Fritz' figures and now the newspper guy all kind of morph into one collection is really enjoyable. It really gives a feel for the citizen experinence of the war. I don't want to be one of those guys who posts endless great lists of I want I want stuff all the time, but it sure is exciting to think what may come next, there are so many sets that could be produced, keep up the good work Andy!

I dont like it one bit.......I think his vest was black not green and whats with his left hand being up at his side and not down....I'll tell you the historical accuracy of these figures continues to slip....:rolleyes2:

Good luck to the copyright police when they look up Waynepoo in the electoral rolls to try to track you down!

I believe, and this is not legally binding advice, that photographs prior to 1954, at least in Australia, might be available. I notice the Australian War Memorial database has opened its older photographs to the public where once you had to purchase.

The pictures have to say copyrighted and warn against use. Photos on the internet can easily be formatted to prevent downloading if the owner wants so if they put up their photo with no restrictions, it is in the public domain. And if it is for personal use, and not for monetary gain it's fine. If the picture was paid for and came with restrictions or was pirated, it is not fine.

I believe copyright in Europe now only last fifty years so not an issue.

Since this is a site registered to a US entity, copying photos to here probably falls within the fair use doctrine.

I would focus less on protecting the interests of the 1%ers & more on holding your politicians to way way overdue copyright reform. It's a hot topic right now.
