2 months in a row with nothing for the FIW. I guess I could buy the new French WW1 releases. At least it will be the French part of FIW. :)

Agree it is disappointing that there were no new FIW figures as well as no Wars of the Roses, Napoleon in Spain or Jacobite releases.
The FIW was JJD's "bread and butter" for many years but now, coinciding with the 100th Anniversary, WWI has dominated his releases.
If the sales are there for WWI then his business decision is sensible for the present market. For the longer term, however, I think he needs to keep
his base of FIW collectors satisfied with more "action" releases on a timely basis. He can also communicate better his intentions on other series so his customers
remain patient and keeping some portion of their funds for future buys. Tell us that more FIW, Jacobites, Napoleon's Spanish campaign, etc. will be forthcoming.

Remember that John is a "one man" operation and his talents and time go towards sculpting and watching over the production. It is amazing that the output he
achieves on a monthly basis is possible and hopefully he will get back to pleasing a larger segment of his customers.

More Roger's Rangers in action would be welcome!

Yes, John does it all and I am aware he can't release everything he would like due to storage and cost. I know there will be more FIW to come. Two months with nothing is just a surprise.

Definitely surprising. . . I'll choose to be grateful for another month to save up for the inevitable deluge heading our way {sm4}

After the release on Julie's Adventure thread, we will need to be saving ---- aplenty!!!

Yes, I really liked what I saw. That new canoe is great. And the troop transport barge. If we ask John very nicely maybe he will do the side of a ship with troops loading into the barge? Okay, maybe my WW2 interest kicked in there, but a diorama with lots of barges and troops landing as well would be very cool.

Now is not the time to be remodeling our kitchen.:(
