Hi Rob-

Me too, I do not understand all the fuss around that model.

What is the big deal in asking for a photo or a reference in respect of a suicide jet that I do not know.

Would you be curious if K&C UK released a figure, in their new line about the Crimean War, that has a flame-thrower? ...Let me guess? ...Yes!

It is the same thing here.

It is not because the model is great (it is great and I have already pre-ordered it) and is made by K&C that I should put aside my interrogation in respect of History (and history).

In fact, the brochure is clear and... unclear.

It is said:

Many of these designs and concepts, brilliant and innovative though they were, never got "off the drawning board"...

and further:

...we choose the Focke-Wulf "Rammjager" ...this piloted jet missile was reported to have... It was also proposed that the Hitlerjugen...

I started this thread and my first post (question) was quite simple: where can I find a (photo) Fw Rammjäger jet? Five days later, I do not have any answer yet.

What is the big surprise for me, it is the fervor showned to defend the love for the WS100 than to prove his existence.

I understand the admiration of some collectors for Andy and K&C but to suggest that I am unreasonnable in insisting to know more about a Focke-Wulf jet makes me ask myself where the reason is.

Accordingly, we are agreeing on:

A- It is a great model,

B- We do not understand the fuss,

C- We will both buy it and

D- ... (fill the blank. For my part, I would had write: it is fanciful).

Pierre.

P.S. Please, excuse my bad english.

Like it like it..............The thin redline with a flame thrower in the middle of it. Now that would be cool!:D

Pierre, your English is probably better than mine my friend!;) I really like the look of this jet, i think even if it had never been made i'd probably still buy it anyway. The way its shown with the transport vehicle and figures means i'm not worried one way or the other,i just want it!.I must confess to never having seen a picture of it,i thought maybe Osprey may have had a book on it as they have done so many.K&C often leads to vibrant discussion,be it Ltd editions, tracks or this.Thats just because they are the best and worth talking about! All the best

Yep we can now add the topic

"Did it actually exist?"

to the list of questions to ask if the forum needs livening up. :)

It can rank alongside

"Is it STRICTLY limited?"

"What do you think of the LAH range?"

and that old favourite

"I'm really not very keen on those tracks"

:D

:D Where did you stand on the track debate James, can't say i got involved in that one.

Rob

Hehe Rob nice try at starting up a new full and frank exchange of views. :)

I like to see some definition to the tracks myself not the mud effect.
I 'm not keen on having to squint at my Normandy panther to get the best out of it! :)

How about you?

Well i like a bit of definition and a bit of mud!!.I didn't get involved in the heated exchanges but viewed them with interest.I think Andy has made great advances with his tracks and the quality is plain to see on the newer releases.I thought the tracks on HB's Winter Panther were very good and i think Andy is up there challenging them now, which i'm very pleased to see.

Rob-

I agree with you. I will buy it too.

My question was (is) serious and is treated like an attack against Andy and/or K&C which is not the case.

There was (is) no need for nobody to call the cavalry :D

Pierre.

Uh oh! Ron is in charge of cavalry around here and he doesn't like us Brits!!! :D

That's OK cause we know what happened to Ney's cavalry. I'm sure Marshall Ron will meet a similar fate! :)

Thats probably why he doesn't like us Brits!!!

I guess we have to wait for Andy to tell his side of the story on this figure?

I personally dont believe that everything made by K&C has to be an actual representation of a historic vehicle or person. So, if Andy did go outside the box - so what?

But, he should tell everyone if it is fact or fiction - that I agree should be done.

When we were last in the states my wife left her purse in the hire car when we changed it and at a stroke lost cash, cards Disney tickets the whole nine yards. We were sat in Sea world the next day talking to a woman who was sat next to us.She asked us how our Holiday was going. When we told her what happened this lady offered to give us as much money as we needed!.I mean we would never have accepted it but how generous was that?!!!.We had known this woman about five mins and there she was offering us money. We were really moved by that.

Heres a question for my American friends. How big an offence is it over there to drive without your licence on you?.When my wife lost her purse the licence went with it.So she drove round Florida without it for two weeks. When we mentioned this to our holiday rep she was mortified!.

This story has a very happy ending.A very kind and honest gentleman in Canada found my wifes purse and returned it with everything still there and didn't even want to accept the postage money!

There are still some very good people in this world:)

Rob

I believe in your circumstance - it would be understandable.

For Americans - big plenties - as well as a trip in the back of a Police Car to the Station
