This thread has made for a fascinating read. A few takeaways for me…..
1. We’ve (I’ve) been horrid at updating our customers. That changes now.
2. We have faced challenges that no other company has faced (I.e. Russia on top of Covid). We spent 2021 setting up figure manufacturing and vehicle MFR’ing IN RUSSIA and got great results (see M113). We did this because, well, we couldn’t enter China at all. And we had to close it all earlier this year after investing lots of time and capital due to US sanctions (I’m not going to prison to make toy soldiers - sorry).
3. Our “Big Sale” was a ridiculous success for us and perhaps i got a little lazy or careless. No on second thought, i definitely got more than a little lazy. 2020/2021 record years for us.
4. As someone said somewhere in this thread, we absolutely do not view the audience here as our customer base. Too many trolls and bullshit. Sorry Julie. We know who we are, we know that we are currently the most “emulated” (putting it nicely) toy soldier company in the world right now. Our figures have completely changed the expectations of what a customer expects when collecting.
I may or may not keep posting on this forum. As i said elsewhere, i tend to take the criticism personally and it’s not a productive use of my time. But i think it was George from MInuteman who pointed out to me that folks here think we’re dying and i responded back to him basically “Huh?”. So i decided to come and see after several years of not even looking at this place. That perception couldn’t be further from reality. We are a company with pretty large ambitions - we have extended into other markets, and that takes time and energy.
All of this being said - i do want to offer and apology to all of our long time loyal customers. You haven’t gotten the attention you’ve deserved from us over the past 2 years. But fear not - we’re fine, we’re releasing a ton of stuff, and …. I guess I’m back. To the detriment of all forum readers. ^&grin
