This is a great place which I am very fond of. But looking at the photos, it might be hard to determine where it is located. Does anyone know?

Looks like a very cleverly made and photographed Dio, is it suppose to be a hotel somewhere in Spain or California?:rolleyes2:
Wayne.

I see many Angels on the Hotel property.
Could this be the Victoria Secret Resort Hotel in
Catalina ?

It is not a dio but a real hotel. My wife and I have stayed there on four different occasions.

The angels and other decorations are there for Christmas. Boy, I have stayed on Catalina Island several times in the past---I must have missed out on the Victoria Secret Resort. Now you tell me that there is such a place. But no, it is not on Catalina.

True, but there also appears to be a lack of shadows here and there, but where is it ? Seville Spain?
Wayne.

My camera's flash must be better than I thought. I have been to Seville, but it's not there. Good guess though.

Means zero to an Aussie, last try, Mexico - Tijuana or Veracruz?
Wayne.

Good point regarding the presidents. It's definitely not Tijuana---I wouldn't go there on a bet. It's not Veracruz, either. But I agree thast it looks kind of Mexican or Spanish, architecturally.

Thanks for a good thread, good fun, I've been no further than New Zealand so I'm only guessing where it might be, certainly not here in Brisbane :rolleyes2::wink2:

Glad you like it. I have visited more than two dozen countries, but two that are high up on my "must visit" list are Australia and New Zealand.

Here is another hint: There is a four star restaurant on site that has a very large painting of Teddy Roosevelt charging up San Juan Hill during the Spanish-American War. The painting is unusal in that it is about twice as tall as it is wide, so the viewers perspective is from the bottom of the hill. BTW, the last time I tried to eat there, they suggested I was dressed inappropriately and that I should eat somewhere else. Heck, I was wearing jeans and a sports shirt like I always do. Their steaks are over priced anyway. So we ate at a great Italian restaurant across the street---that will show them.
