I'm thinking of getting into the JJ's French & Indian Wars.

Can anybody recommend a dealer, price (discount) is my main concern.

Will make a "substantial" first buy, $600+.

If you want to do me and your favorite dealer a favor, let me know.

You can contact me through a private message if you need to be discreet or I can send you my phone number or call you.

Thanks, Michael

Not sure about finding any discounts, as the resale market is fast indicating an increase in value, on all older sets. Very short runs and customers, who bought multiples might not let you get your $600 worth..Michael

Same thing here I been thinking about getting into JJ French And Indian War Collection. But the only thing is that alot of the older stuff is gone retired and kinda hard to find. I understand because the stuff is very limited. So its something to think about.

Michael,

Try any of the major dealers, they should be able to help you.

Most will offer free shipping.

On discounts that is up to you and the dealer.

I find Larry at March Throught Times and George at Minutemen Toy Soldiers to be very helpful people. Check out there web sites.

John has 30 sets already retired, so be quick on the sets you want, as they will not be around this time next year.

D'ont let the retirements and scarcity of some of the early sets discourage you, there are plenty of sets readily available and they are all great. I second the motion on George at Minuteman and Tim at Troops of Time is easy to deal with as well. Unless you have deep pockets, stay patient on the early sets and grab the available ones before they go "retired" because they will probably shoot up in price as they go out of circulation. -- lancer

I would also highly recommend George from minutemen! Great guy to deal with, I buy most of stuff from him. Its also helps that he,s only 15 minutes from my house and I can just pick my stuff up on my way home from work and avoid shipping charges to.

I agree with Lancer,
Whilst a lot of the early Monongahela sets are retired, I beleve all of the woodland Indians are still not retired, as are the Virginia Militia. Get the Braddock set quick whilst it's still available. There is still plenty of choice 'on the shelf', such as Plains of Abraham and the Raid on St Francis (The civilian sets RFB01 -02 have just been retired, so get these while you can) . Some of the Woodland Indian and French sets from the Battle of of Snowshoes are retired but can still be found in dealers.

I too use George and find him to be a very reputable and dependable person. If I lived within 15 minutes of him, he would hold the mortgage on my home.;):)

Contact George! Also the Gettysburg Antique Center often has a few older sets available. I believe their contact info is on the JJ website.

Since no one else has mentioned it...
Treefrog also sells John Jenkins and we're also rather reputable and dependable if I do say so myself ;):p
:D Regards,

Shannon,
A few months ago after servicing a computer system at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, I drove over to Eyota before heading back to the Twin Cities. Although I did not meet you, I had a very pleasant visit at your store and your associate there that day was very helpful. I look forward to returning for another visit sometime in the not so distant future.

John

I buy from Treefrog too..i think it's less expensive than buy here in Italy!!!Very good service!!!
