Although I think this series needs to seriously up-the-action, and that was my disappointment with the first batch of releases, they are my favorite so far.
I havent really started getting the K&C pieces yet. I got 3 when they 1st came out to see if I liked them or not. I was impressed so now its just a matter of reloading the coffers.
I felt the first release with the Confederates were the usual pattern for K&C - parade, personality and special interest.
The second release with the Union was very original and looked great. The troops have great action and look cool.
My hope is that we AVOID any more "patches" on the Confederates - due to the fact you can't have a firing line with everyone having a red patch on the right knee - you know what I mean ? Lets have some plain Grey or even Butternut Uniforms - so we can make some firing lines - you can have a figure or two in a different pose - but, we need a couple of regular figs to stand off the UNION ADVANCE !
Looks like the Confederates are favored by most collectors. I have just purchased my first Civil War figures, K & C Union figures. Being a good Northerner, that is where my interests lie ("the Union forever, hurrah boys, hurrah") but I'm sure Johnny Reb will join later on
