Hi all - looking for a bit of help in this topic.

I've tried to go back through a number of CS topics but had difficulty finding any info on this question. I'm looking at all the wonderful vehicles by CS and trying to determine which of the vehicles with wheels actually roll (have moving wheels).

Particularly:

SdKfz 222
SdKfz 232 (8-wheel vehicle)
AB43
DAK Motorcycle Team
Normandy Pak 7.5
US 2nd ID 57mm Anti-Tank Gun

I know Rommel's Steyr Command Car rolls but would love to know if the other vehicles above have moving wheels. I'm a bit of a "whoosher" and enjoy moving my vehicles around the tabletop battleground. Would appreciate any info.

The DAK motorcycle does not nor the pak I have (which is the first)don't have a RAD in my own collection but, have seen one and the wheels did not move on that not seen a 222 yet so, not sure but, its not something CS have done the Patton armoured car as a relatively recent did not either.

I actually prefer non moving wheels as these are not toys and, I don't know anyone who plays with them rolling them across dioramas or those ''Terrain'' mats

Hope these bits help
Mitch

WO ,

I just recently purchased the K&C DAK 222 , & those tires spin/roll...I believe the K&C DAK Motorcycle & sidecar also rolls...I do not have any CS ! I have thought about their 222 &/or 232 , so maybe you can do another review !?
Mitch , be honest...You've rolled some AFV's around when nobody's looking !

You guys are funny. Honestly, I really don't play (wish I had it in me as I did when I was a kid). I do have a thing for moving wheels and vehicles. It makes them a bit more fun when they can be rolled adding to the "playability" quality - plus I think it adds to the detail (but no noises allowed). I'd love to have a little jeep/vehicle with an attached howitzer that rolls.

I've got my eyes on the 222 and the 223. If I purchase, you can count on a review.

Joe...

My DAK combo and the WSS K&C combo's wheels don't move. Secrets out I am a roller!!!LOL don't tell anyone!!

Mind, I do prefer non rolling wheels as they are a pain when on shelves I am always worried they will come of and, I know a few people whose have take a nose dive off shelves cabinets etc and, ended up in my hands for repair or, they have binned them which, is a great shame.

I'm sure many our there keep it a secret.:wink2:

Hi, my name is Michael and I am a roller...:redface2:.CS early 222 was not a roller, but I made it so by cutting off the wheels, inserting a metal tube through the linkage and an axle through the wheels...Their Autoblinda armored car is a roller. Their 8 wheelers are not. I looked at making that a roller, but they have solid casting to each wheel, making it a drilling nightmare for axles..Michael

Ok I admit I like the roller aspect too. Would have liked the original 222 to be free wheeling but alas I do not have the talent to convert. The various staff cars & AB armoured vehicle roll. Still all very nice as static pieces. Cheers, Robin.

I don't mind them rolling, i don't mind them not rolling, im a rolling kinda guy!!!!^&grin

Mitch ,

Your secret's safe with me...But to add , besides a rolling addiction...i've been known to rotate turrets as well...lol
I for some reason thought the K&C DAK combo rolled...?! I can see your point with these AFV's rolling from shelves...I can suggest if anybody is afraid of such a thing , use some putty & put it @ the bottom of one of the front tires of the AFV...I had to do this to my Motorcycle dispatch rider WS003 because the kick stand would not hold up the bike itself...

Joe...

Mine are in rows so, I can't move turrets much!!! or, that's the excuse and, I am sticking to it
