Which new (British) unit for WWI? (3 Viewers)

Edith Cavell being executed.
Mata Hari being executed.
Deserters being executed.
The Tsar and his family being executed.
Dead bodies hanging on the wire.
A line of gassed casualties stumbling along with their hands resting on the guy in front.
Decomposed bodies of human beings.
Decomposed bodies of mules and horses.

More Canadian items were recently requested on another thread, so.....how about some CEF figures for WWI, like the Princess Pat's for example. These would be an exciting addition to the range I should think. :)

Yeah I wouldn't mind the C.E.F and some Indian regiments they were there in 1914 in the Ypres Salient alongside the B.E.F

Wow WWI has so many possibilities, I hope that it gains a nice following and grows to the size of the WWII series.

Agree completely with this. Another thought I had was that since we have cousin Willy already, we should probably have cousins Nicky and Georgie as well, right?

It's a can o' worms. Newfoundlanders, early war Austro-Hungarian infantry and cavalry, the 36th (Ulster) Division, the Tynesiders, French Alpine Chaussers, the list is endless. But first, early war French infantry, cavalry, and artillery. How about RND? -- lancer

Here's another thought I raised on the "movies" thread already. Since K&C are getting into pilot figures and so on now (great idea btw), why not consider some WWI pilot figures as well? There seems to be a fair amount of interest in this area on this forum based on recent discussions, so what do you say to that notion, Andy, anybody else, Bueller..........?

This could be great subject matter. Ground crew rearming, rigging, or working on the engines. Pilots walking to their aircraft, gunners carrying Lewis guns. Anti-aircraft positions. Of course all of this would mean AIRCRAFT too. SE-5's, Camels, Bristol F2B's, RE-8's, and maybe even DH-2's with Lanoe Hawker in his heavy flying gear. The possibilities are endless. Tis nice to dream. -- lancer

Now this is the sort of reply I was hoping for. :)

Unfortunately - we are still in 1914 with K&C WWI releases - so we won't get to see those yet :(

My guess is we will have a release of WWI FRENCH TROOPS ! :D

And hopefully some more Allied command figures to complement the nice looking Germans. How about King George, Kitchener, Haig, Foch and his staff for starters.

But there could be a Bleriot monoplane scout and maybe a Fokker eindecker . . .

I still think this is a fantastic idea, so I'll just quote it again. :D

Maybe i'm not in line with the thread(wait..i started it!) but i reflected and think we must wait for the French army first...after buying the book "French Army in 1914" by Andre' Jouineau (really reccomended!) i think there are many many figures to be produced!Infantry , Cuirssiers (WBritain has 3 of them in store for us), Chasseurs..and the colonial corps..Spahis, Tirailleurs Senegalais..La Legion!very colourful uniforms..definitely we need the Poilus!

What? You need to thin out the population of your toy soldiers?:p:rolleyes:

Louis, I go along with this except I would keep Petain as he was one of the few generals who understood the new warfare and that "firepower kills". In basic terms, if Petain isn't there to pick up the pieces of Nivelle's disaster, the French lose WW1. -- lancer

Very Good!:D I'd really like to see some French troops this year and maybe an early war artillery piece for the Germans. I do wonder how a Petain figure would be received.

Does anyone think or know if there will be any additional 1914 figures later this year or is 1914 over? I'd like to expand on my shelf display.
